I mentioned a couple of weeks back that I’d lost the script for this section of the comic, and that I was trying to reconstruct it from my notes and memory. I though the original was spot on, but I’m less certain of this new version. Sure enough, I spotted a small mistake in the very first page that went up, so I changed it and re-posted it. It’s not a big deal, you may not even notice it, but I wanted you to know what was up. I will try not to do that often, but this is a really dense sequence, with a lot of information to get across.
Next week: Necronomicon. I’m looking forward to meeting so many folks I’ve corresponded with: Mike Davis, of the Lovecraft eZine; Sam Costello, writer of a ton of great horror comics on the web; Sam Gafford, the William Hope Hodgson scholar and writer of weird fiction; John Ashmead, physicist, whose thesis on Time was so laughably above my head that I enjoyed it anyway. Will Murray will be there, as will S.T. Joshi (whom I doubt will even remember me, but I’m still going to shove vol. 1 of I Am Providence under his nose for an autograph.) And lots of new folks, I’m sure.
I’m not sure just how well they are going to come out, but I’m sculpting 3D busts of Jackey, Win and Nan using Sculptris, ZBrush and Maya. If they are at all presentable, I’ll post them here.
